St. Thomas was tagged on the weekend with "Remember" in orange spray paint. While we do not condone vandalism, our hearts break for those who were harmed and continue to be harmed by the horrendous legacy of the Indian Residential Schools. We grieve and repent of our participation in it through our church and our ancestors.
We take this call to remember very seriously, and reaffirm our commitment to long-term partnership, prayer, and action to bring healing to this land. For more on this ongoing work, please see https://www.anglican.ca/im/ and https://edmonton.anglican.ca/what-we-do/indigenous-ministries.
