Once again, St. Thomas partnered with our neighbours at École Père Kenneth Kearns Catholic School to support local families for the upcoming school year.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our congregation, we provided 22 fully stocked backpacks for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 4, ensuring students start the year with the tools they need to succeed. In addition to individual backpacks, St. Thomas also provided "Tickle Trunk" baskets filled with extra classroom supplies for teachers to draw from throughout the year.

Reflecting on the impact of these gifts, the principal of École Père Kenneth Kearns shared this note of thanks with our parish:

"The beginning of a new school year is filled with excitement and anticipation, but for some families, it can also bring additional financial pressures. Because of this generosity, children are able to begin the year with the supplies they need, feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

What makes this gift especially meaningful is the message behind it. These backpacks are more than school supplies. They are a tangible reminder to our children and families that they are surrounded by people who care about them... We often speak about the importance of being a good neighbour, and we feel especially blessed to have St. Thomas Anglican Church as our neighbour."

Thank you to everyone who purchased supplies, contributed financially, and packed bags to help our young neighbours begin the school year with dignity, hope, and joy.
