Children are welcome at St. Thomas!
We’re delighted you’re considering joining us in person at St. Thomas! We believe that children remember how they felt in a community, and we strive to make every family feel at home.
Our Sunday School program follows the Sparkhouse Digital curriculum, offering engaging, faith-filled learning for children. A dedicated team of trained and screened volunteers leads this ministry, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
We look forward to welcoming your family!
Upon arrival, families are invited to find a seat together for worship. After the gathering of the community and before the scripture readings, children are welcomed to the front for a Children’s Talk with the priest. Following this, our trained Sunday School volunteers lead the children to the Teape Room (directly behind the church) for a time of storytelling, activities, and faith-filled fun. Meanwhile, the adults remain in the sanctuary for the readings, sermon, and prayers.
Just before the Eucharist, the children return to join their families for Holy Communion and the remainder of the service.
Parents are welcome to accompany their little ones to Sunday School if they are not comfortable attending on their own. If your child prefers to stay with you in the pew, colouring books and crayons are available to help keep them engaged
